The anticipation was palpable as the clock struck midnight. The guests at Judy’s house, all of them dressed to impress, waited with bated breath for the countdown to begin. It was New Year’s Eve, and they wanted nothing more than to ring in the new year in style, surrounded by good friends and better times.
