Wendy was exhausted. She had been tossing and turning all night, a result of the vivid dream she had been having. In the dream, she was back in her high school gymnasium, standing before her 8th grade math teacher. But something was very different this time around. As Mrs. Johnson approached her, Wendy couldn’t help but notice how much taller she had become. Her once diminutive teacher now towered over her, a towering colossus of a woman. The gymnasium had transformed as well. The basketball court seemed minuscule compared to the towering woman standing before her. As she looked up, Wendy realized that they were no longer on the court; they were on a massive staircase leading up to an even bigger version of herself.
