The Thief 1 – 3
DavidXMachina – DavidXMachina Studio
The job was simple: break into the wealthiest man’s house and steal a single item. It was risky, but the payoff was worth it. The target was David X. Machina, a man known for his extravagance and love for collecting rare items. The thief had been planning this heist for months, studying the layout of the house and the security measures in place. Everything was going according to plan until he found himself face to face with the man himself.
David X. Machina was not what the thief expected. He was huge, towering over the thief, his muscles rippling beneath his expensive suit. The thief couldn’t help but feel small and insignificant in comparison. But he pressed on, trying to act nonchalant as he pretended to search for the item he was there to steal.
“What are you doing?” boomed Machina, his voice echoing through the empty house. The thief froze. He hadn’t anticipated being caught so quickly. But then an idea struck him. Maybe he could use this situation to his advantage.
“I’m sorry,” the thief stammered, trying to keep his voice from shaking. “I must have taken a wrong turn. I was looking for the bathroom.” He pointed vaguely in the direction of the master suite, hoping Machina wouldn’t notice the obvious tell that he was lying.
Machina narrowed his eyes, clearly not buying the thief’s act. “The bathroom?” he growled. “You’re in my private study. What could you possibly be doing here?”
The thief swallowed hard. He had to think fast. “I-I’m sorry,” he said again. “I must have misunderstood the directions. I thought this was the guest house.” He spread his hands in a gesture of innocence, hoping Machina would believe him.
But Machina wasn’t buying it. “You’re lying,” he said, his voice low and menacing. “Now, tell me why you’re really here, or you’ll be spending the night in a jail cell.”
The thief felt his heart racing. He knew he had to come up with something fast. Suddenly, an idea struck him. He looked up at Machina, his eyes wide with fear. “I-I’m sorry,” he stammered. “I can’t go to jail. I have a family to support. Please, I just want to go home.”
Machina paused, considering the thief’s words. After a moment, he sighed heavily. “Fine,” he said, his voice softening slightly. “I’ll give you one chance to make this right. You have ten minutes to find what you came for and get out. If you’re not gone by then, I’ll have security throw you in a cell so deep you’ll never see the light of day again.”
The thief nodded gratefully, his heart pounding in his chest. He had to act fast. He started rifling through the shelves, glancing at the various items on display. Most of them were worthless to him, but there was one item that caught his eye. It was a small, intricately carved statuette of a woman. He recognized it immediately; it was the item he had come to steal.
He picked up the statuette and quickly tucked it into his bag. As he turned to leave, he saw that Machina was still watching him. “Hurry up,” he growled. “You’ve got five minutes left.” The thief nodded and made his way quickly out of the room, trying not to feel the weight of the giantess’s gaze on his back.
As he fled the house, the adrenaline pumping through his veins, he couldn’t help but feel a strange sense of satisfaction. He had gotten away with it. He had faced down the giant and walked away unscathed. But as he looked back at the house, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he hadn’t seen the last of David X. Machina.
