The young man closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and reached out to touch one of the enchanted roses. Instantly, he was engulfed in a bright light that seemed to radiate from within the bush. As the guests watched in awe, the rose began to glow brighter and brighter, until it finally burst into a shower of petals that rained down upon the crowd. When the light faded, the young man was standing there, breathless, his eyes wide with disbelief. “What happened?” he whispered.
Madame Leonora smiled knowingly. “You have experienced the power of the roses,” she replied. “Your wish for love has been granted. But remember, my dear guest, with great power comes great responsibility.” With that, she turned on her heel and swept back into the mansion, leaving the guests staring after her in wonder.
The Aftermath
As the night wore on, the guests discussed the events that had transpired in hushed tones. Some were awestruck by the experience, while others were skeptical. But all agreed that Madame Leonora was a force to be reckoned with.
