Suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching. He froze, his heart in his throat. The footsteps grew louder, and he could hear the sound of heavy breathing. He knew he had to hide, but where? In a moment of desperation, he looked up and saw a giantess standing before him. She towered over him, her eyes ablaze with anger. He tried to run, but it was too late. She reached down and scooped him up like a child, her fingers wrapping around him like steel traps.
