Foragers Giantess – Episode 3.2: The Throne Room
The Queen’s Arrival
A hushed silence filled the throne room as the massive wooden doors creaked open. The sound of heavy footsteps echoed throughout the cavernous space, growing louder with each step. The crowd parted, revealing a towering figure draped in regal robes. It was the queen, Empress of the Foragers, and the room fell quiet in awe of her enormous presence.
She stood at over 30 feet tall, her muscular form clad in gold and jewels. Her long, luscious hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall of black silk. Her eyes were a piercing sapphire blue, seeming to bore into the very souls of those who dared to look upon her. The guards at her side trembled slightly, their weapons clattering against their armor as they struggled to maintain their composure in the face of such overwhelming power.
The queen slowly walked towards the throne, her every step causing the floor to creak and groan under the immense weight. As she reached the throne, she slowly ascended its massive steps, her robes billowing around her like a storm cloud. Finally, she sat down upon the throne, her legs dangling over its armrests, her massive feet obscuring the view of anyone standing below her.
The Royal Audience
A hush fell over the throne room as the queen took her seat. She looked out upon her subjects, her gaze piercing through the crowd. One by one, the nobles of the Foragers approached the throne, kneeling before her in supplication. Each wore their finest robes and jewels, hoping to impress the empress with their wealth and power.
The first to approach was Lord Dardon, the richest man in the kingdom. He knelt before the queen, his head bowed in respect. “My queen,” he began, “I come before you today to offer my thanks for your continued reign. My coffers are full, and my citizens live in relative comfort.”
The queen nodded, her eyes never leaving him. “I am pleased to hear it, Lord Dardon. Your loyalty does not go unnoticed.” She paused for a moment, considering him. “However, there are rumors of unrest among your people. See to it that they are quelled before they become a problem.”
Lord Dardon bowed his head again, his heart pounding in his chest. “Yes, my queen. I will see to it immediately.” He rose from his knees, backing away from the throne slowly. As he left, he couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if he failed to please the empress.
The Rebellious Lord
The next to approach the throne was Lord Faradon, the most powerful man in the kingdom. He too knelt before the queen, but there was a defiance in his eyes that was unmistakable. “My queen,” he began, his voice cold and hard, “I come before you today to voice my concerns about your rule.”
The queen’s eyebrow raised, an icy glare fixing upon him. “Do you now, Lord Faradon? And what might those concerns be?”
Faradon took a deep breath, steeling himself for what was to come. “I feel that your rule is too tyrannical, my queen. The people are beginning to suffer under your heavy hand.” He paused, waiting for her reaction. His heart was pounding in his chest, but he refused to show fear.
The queen leaned forward, her immense form looming over him. “And what do you propose I do, Lord Faradon? Should I abdicate my throne and let chaos reign? Or should I continue to rule with an iron fist, as I have done for centuries?” She paused, her eyes boring into him. “Choose your words carefully, for they may well be your last.”
Lord Faradon swallowed hard, his throat suddenly dry. “I… apologize, my queen. I spoke out of turn. Please forgive me.” He bowed his head, knowing that there would be consequences for his insolence. But he couldn’t help the rebellious spark that had ignited within him.
The Imperial Decree
The queen sat back in her throne, considering Lord Faradon’s words. After a moment, she spoke, her voice echoing throughout the throne room. “It is clear that some among my subjects have forgotten their place. Let it be known that any who dare to question my rule will face severe consequences.”
A hush fell over the crowd as they waited for her next words. “However,” she continued, “I am a fair ruler. And so, I will give those who have grievances a chance to voice them. Tomorrow, at noon, I will hold an audience in this very room. But let it be known that this is a final chance to express your concerns. After that, there will be no further debate.”
With that, the queen rose from her throne, turning to leave the throne room. Her guards stepped forward, forming a protective barrier around her as she made her way back to her chambers. The crowd watched in silence as she disappeared from sight, knowing that whatever happened next, it would be momentous.
