As I stepped into the dimly lit cocktail bar, my heart raced with anticipation. The scent of expensive perfume and stale smoke filled the air, creating an intoxicating atmosphere. I couldn’t believe my luck. Here I was, standing face-to-face with the woman of my dreams, and she was actually talking to me! I managed to force out a coherent response. “Um, I’ll have a bourbon, neat, please.” Her smile widened, revealing a hint of amusement at my nervousness. She turned away to place my order with the bartender, giving me a moment to collect myself.
As I watched her move with such grace and power, it was hard to remember that just a moment ago, I had been feeling self-conscious about my own comparatively small stature. She was truly in a league of her own. And yet, there was something about her that made me feel at ease, almost like she was someone I had known all my life. It was a strange feeling, but one that I couldn’t help but embrace.

When she returned with my drink, she took a seat across from me at the bar. We made small talk for a while, getting to know each other. Without hesitation, I replied, “I’ll do anything.”
