She turned to face him, her expression unreadable. “You’re welcome,” she replied simply. “But there’s something I need to tell you.” Julius swallowed hard, his heart pounding in his chest. “What is it?” he managed to ask, his voice cracking slightly. “This building,” she began, her voice low and steady, “has been in my family for generations. We’ve taken care of it, nurtured it, made it what it is today. And I’m not going to let just anyone have it.” Julius felt a wave of panic rise up within him. “I understand,” he stammered, “I wasn’t expecting-“
She cut him off with a raised hand. “I haven’t made up my mind yet,” she said, her voice softening slightly. “But I will consider your proposal. In the meantime, perhaps we could discuss other matters… more personal ones.” Julius felt his cheeks flush with heat. He had never been so close to a woman so much larger than him, and the thought of her towering over him was both terrifying and exhilarating. “I’m listening,” he managed to say, his voice barely above a whisper.
She smiled, revealing a set of perfect teeth that could have belonged to a goddess. “Good,” she replied. “Because I think we’re going to get along just fine.” And with that, she leaned down towards him, her face looming over his like a shadow, and their lips met in a kiss that shook the very foundations of the building they stood in.
From that day forward, Julius and the towering woman were inseparable. They discussed business deals and personal matters alike, their bond growing stronger with each passing moment.
