You glanced down at your menu, feeling a blush creep up your cheeks as you realized she could probably see the titles of the dishes from where she sat. “I-I was thinking about trying the fettuccine alfredo,” you stammered, feeling even smaller than usual under her gaze.
Rain nodded, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “Sounds good,” she said, her voice rumbling through the café like a roll of thunder. “I think I’ll have the same.”
You watched as she placed her menu on the table, feeling a shiver of anticipation run through you at the thought of sharing a meal with her. Up close, you could see every detail of her massive form, from the tiny creases in her skin to the individual hairs on her arm. And yet, somehow, she managed to exude an air of gentle warmth that made you feel completely at ease.
The waiter returned a moment later, looking just as awestruck as before as he took their orders. As he walked away, you leaned in closer to Rain, feeling a spark of curiosity about her. “So,” you said, your voice barely more than a whisper. “How tall are you exactly?”
Rain chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that vibrated through the table and sent pleasant shivers down your spine. “I’m… a bit taller than most,” she said, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “But don’t worry, I won’t crush you!”
You laughed, feeling a sense of relief and excitement wash over you at her words. As you looked up at her, you couldn’t help but feel a twinge of longing in your heart, hoping that someday you might be able to experience what it was like to be so close to someone so much bigger than yourself.
