Incident in the Desert – Chapter 1: The Oasis
The sun beat down mercilessly on the scorched earth, casting long shadows behind the few meager bushes that managed to survive in this harsh environment. A lone traveler trudged through the dunes, his worn clothes sticking to his sweaty skin. He had been walking for hours, hoping to find some sign of civilization or even a drop of water.
Suddenly, he caught sight of something in the distance. A small oasis! He quickened his pace, eager for the cool relief of its shade and water. The air grew cooler as he drew closer, the sound of trickling water filling his ears. He stumbled over the last dune and collapsed, drinking in the sight before him.
A crystal-clear pool was surrounded by lush greenery, with palm trees swaying gently in the breeze. A small waterfall tumbled down the rocks into the pool, creating a soothing sound that lulled him into a sense of calm. He removed his hat, running his fingers through his sweaty hair as he slowly stood up, taking in the beauty of this unexpected paradise.
Without warning, a large figure emerged from the shadows. She stood before him, towering over him with her tall stature and powerful frame. Her skin glistened in the sunlight, reflecting the coolness of the water. Her eyes were a piercing blue, filled with curiosity as they studied the tiny human before her. The traveler couldn’t speak, struck dumb by her majestic presence.
“Who are you?” she asked, her voice deep and commanding. “And what brings you to my oasis?”
The traveler slowly rose to his feet, his heart pounding in his chest. He took a deep breath, trying to find the words to answer her. “I-I’m just a traveler,” he stammered. “I was lost in the desert and I saw your oasis. I just needed water… and some shade.”
She studied him for a moment, her gaze assessing his frailty. Then, without warning, she stepped forward, reaching out to him with a gentle hand. “You look weary,” she said, her voice softening. “Come, sit with me and rest. You’ll find no harm here.”
With a mixture of awe and fear, the traveler followed her to a nearby patch of shade, sitting down on a smooth rock. She sat down beside him, her towering height making him feel even smaller in comparison. But there was something about her that made him feel safe, protected. As he watched her, he couldn’t help but feel a strange stirring in his loins, a heat that he couldn’t explain.
“My name is Vedogon,” she said, breaking the silence. “What is your name, little one?”
The traveler hesitated before answering. “My name is… Tim.” He looked up at her, his eyes wide with wonder. “Thank you for your hospitality, Vedogon. This oasis is truly a sight for sore eyes.”
She smiled, a slow curve of her lips that made his heart skip a beat. “You’re welcome here, Tim,” she said. “But tell me, why are you out here all alone? Surely there must be others who could help you on your journey?”
He shook his head, his brow furrowed in thought. “I… I’m not sure,” he admitted. “I was on a mission to find something important, but I lost my way. Now, I just want to find my way back home.”
Vedogon nodded, her gaze turning inward as she considered his words. Then, without warning, she stood up, towering over him once again. “Come,” she said, extending her hand towards him. “I will help you find your way.”
Tim hesitated for a moment before taking her hand, feeling the warmth and strength of her grip. Together, they walked towards the pool, the water lapping at their feet. As they approached the waterfall, Vedogon turned to him, her deep blue eyes sparkling with mischief.
“Close your eyes, Tim,” she said softly. “And let the water cleanse your soul.”
With a deep breath, Tim closed his eyes, feeling the cool water wash over him. He let out a sigh of relief as the tension in his shoulders began to fade. Suddenly, he felt Vedogon’s warm hands on his bare skin, massaging his shoulders and back. He couldn’t help but moan softly, enjoying the sensation of her hands on his skin.
